Water footprint: How to save water further?
Most laboratories use substantially more water per square meter than standard commercial buildings do. Fortunately, there are several ways to reduce your water footprint.
How to save water?
Install low-flow aerators to faucets.
Check for faucet leaks and report them promptly.
Eliminate single-pass cooling. Instead, consider closed-loop or recirculating systems that reuse water continuously.
Only run equipment that uses water when fully loaded.
Only use purified water when needed.
Use a vacuum pump instead of a water vacuum aspirator.
